Returns & Withdrawal Policy

1. General Terms of Sale

All items sold by (Re)APPROVED by V.A.Antiquités are second-hand and are sold in the condition they are in, as described in the listing. These objects may show signs of use, consistent with their age and history.

A condition report can always be requested prior to purchase. If no condition report is requested, the buyer accepts the item as described and in the condition the items is. The item's condition cannot be used as grounds for return.

2. Sales to Business Customers (B2B)

For transactions with businesses or professionals, no return rights apply. B2B sales are considered final and are not subject to the right of withdrawal under European law. We advise professional buyers to request all necessary information before purchasing.

3. Sales to Private Consumers (B2C) – Online Purchases

For online purchases by private consumers, the European right of withdrawal applies. This means the consumer has the right to cancel the purchase within 14 calendar days of receiving the item.

Conditions for return:

  • The item must be returned or brought back at the buyer’s own expense.

  • The item must be in its original condition. If the item has been damaged or used beyond what is necessary to assess its nature and characteristics, a depreciation fee may be charged.

  • The return must be notified in writing (e.g. by email) within the 14-day period and returned within a period of a month after the date of reception.

  • If the buyer requests free storage of the purchased item for a period longer than one month, the right to return or withdraw will no longer apply. In that case, the goods are considered delivered from the moment they were made available for pickup or shipping.

4. Physical Sales (Fairs, Markets, Pickup in Person)

Goods that have been physically inspected prior to purchase — for example at fairs, markets, or on-site visits — are not eligible for return. These sales are considered final and binding.

Even if the purchase is completed digitally (e.g. via email or bank transfer) after a physical viewing, it is treated as a non-returnable sale.

5. Custom-Made or Personalized Items

Items that are custom-made or altered at the client's specific request (such as reupholstered chairs or sofas) cannot be returned, in accordance with Article 16 of the European Consumer Rights Directive 2011/83/EU.

6. Warranty

All goods sold by (Re)APPROVED by V.A.Antiquités are second-hand and are sold without any warranty, unless explicitly stated otherwise. Due to the nature of vintage and antique furniture, functional or structural imperfections that are consistent with the item’s age do not qualify as defects covered under any form of guarantee.
